I am working as Scientist-B at Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Division, Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (TBGRI) which comes under Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, (KSCSTE) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
I have MSc in Botany (with Biotechnology as special paper) from Kerala University. My PhD work (awarded in 2002) was on analysis of intraspecific variations in Andrographis paniculata Nees (കിരിയാത്ത്), an important medicinal plant. PhD Supervisor: Dr. S. Seeni. The research work carried out at TBGRI and the degree was awarded by University of Kerala.
During 2002 - 2005, I conducted Post-doctoral research on Molecular Breeding in rice at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, (UKM). Supervisor: Prof. Wickneswari Ratnam Postdoc research was part of network project on "Gene/genome manipulation for yield enhancement in rice". See details here].
